Flame and Fire Research

While combustion has been the dominant way to release thermal energy for millennia there are still many things about fire that are poorly understood.  One study to help improve the body of knowledge in this field was pool fire research conducted at National Institute of Standard, Gaithersburg MD in the early 1990s.
